10 Completely Random Things About Me #TuesdayTen

It's late. I'm tired. I'm behind and I'm not feeling very creative. I'm supposed to tell you ten random facts about myself and I've had a hard time coming up with things you don't already know. So I did what all people do these days when they're stumped...I turned to Google. And found this list of random questions. I will now proceed to answer 13-23 for you because those are my favorite numbers. And yes, I know that's 11 questions. I'm feeling random. Deal with it! :)

13. Have you ever blown bubbles in your milk? Yes, of course I have. I used to try to blow enough bubbles to make them over flow out of the glass. It's fun! They're pretty! Don't tell my kids!

14. Would you rather eat a Big Mac or a Whopper? I prefer a Whopper. I like my burgers with a salad on them. McDonald's used to have a burger with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on it, but I don't think they do anymore.

15. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping? Nope

16. Would you ever parachute out of a plane? Yes, I think I would. My father-in-law did last year, but he didn't tell us until afterwards because he was afraid we would get mad about it. I wasn't really mad, more jealous!

17. What's the most daring thing you've done? I'm not sure I've done a lot of daring things. I once quit a job that I was fed up with without any prospects or future plans. That was kind of scary, but I'm glad I did it because I was pretty bogged down with mental junk from that place.

18. When you are at the grocery store, do you ask for paper or plastic? Neither. I bring my own bags. And the cashiers at my store see me coming and expect them. One time, the cashier saw me and started clearing out the bagging area to make space for my bags, but when he started ringing me up I realized that I had forgotten to bring them with me. We both laughed. And I asked for plastic.

19. True or False: You would rather eat steak than pizza. False. Steak is good, but I'd rather have pizza!

20. Did you have a baby blanket? Yes. It was a waffle weave white blanket with white satin edging. I was a blanket clutching thumb sucker and a bed wetter, so that blanket ended up torn in shreds from handling and washing. My mom still has pieces of it in a plastic bag.

21. Have you ever tried to cut your own hair? I cut my own bangs on a regular basis.

22. How did that turn out? I think it's turned out fine! I'm trying to grow out my "wings" right now, so they look weird though.

23. Have you ever sleepwalked? I don't know if this counts...I was a bedwetter until I was 11 years old. My mom worked evening and night shifts as a nurse. Often, she would come to my room before she left for work and walk me to the bathroom. I would sit down, pee, wipe and wash all without waking up. I never remembered it the next day, but I knew she had done it. Does that make sense? I don't think I have ever gotten up out of bed of my own volition; just with mom's encouragement.

So there you have it! Ten (plus one) random facts about me! Answer one of these questions in the comments or link up your own list of random facts below!

    1. Totally admit here to the bubbles thing, too. And I like McDonald's more than Burger King, because I still just have a thing for their fries 😉

    2. No no no no. I'm not going skydiving! These were fun questions. Thanks, Google!

    3. I started my post last night with saving and then my computer froze up. I didn't have the same enthusiasm to recreate it so I'll just answer one of yours that not many people know. I went cosmetology school though I only did hair for a year or too. So I do cut my own hair. I don't like to do other people's hair though. I take my own bags to the grocery store too. I keep them in the trunk but sometimes I'm alllllll the way in Walmart before I realize I don't have them and I don't go back to get them.

    4. I had a baby blanket too, when it fell apart my Mom had my Abuelita sew me a new one. I still have it today (just not on my bed)! I am with you all the way on the Whopper. It is much, much better than a Big Mac!

    5. Well, I would absolutely NOT go skydiving. I'm way too chicken. I think the most daring thing I have ever done was in Paris a couple years ago. David had an all day business meeting, so I ventured out on my own. Got food, rode the metro, and went to the Louvre all by myself!! :-) And definitely pizza over steak - I almost made this one of my random facts: Pizza is my favorite food and I could probably eat it at every meal if it was healthier and had fewer calories.

    6. Paint + water + dishwashing liquid = Bubble Art!! Lots of FUN! I really want to go skydiving! It's on my bucket list! I prefer Big Mac to Whopper. I sometimes cut my own fringe and I cut my daughters hair. Fun questions and answers Rabia! :)

    7. I wish I can just cut my own hair but I figured it would be a disaster so I'll leave it to the experts. LOL. I'd love to go skydiving like what I always tell people. Hehe, I just don't know when that's ever gonna happen. Huh.

    8. My boys each had special blankets (different kinds:) - I have no idea if I did or not!
I keep thinking I will start using my reusable bags but have never done it - sad but true!!

    9. I LOLd at "burgers with salad on them." It reminded me of my son trying to convince me that ketchup was his vegetable. No really though, I get it. It's the crunchy fresh factor!

    10. I was totally a sleepwalker when I was younger! Steak vs Pizza? I am sorry, but I would pick an awesome steak over pizza.

    11. I get so tired at night that my blogging has really suffered! I'm too busy during the day to blog much. I cut my own bangs, too, when they get too long! I leave the rest of my hair to the professionals. ;)

    12. I definitely quit a job in the same way. I was in my 20's so I didn't think about kids or mortgages. I'm all for it!
I cut Des' bangs sometimes! I'm happy to say I've never botched them. I don't have bangs, though. They can look ridiculous with my texture of hair.

    13. I love that you found random questions to answer - what a great idea! I think it would be scary to leave a job without something else lined up - and to jump out of a plane!

    14. You know my problem with fries? We go through the drive thru most often and I feel like they give us the crappy, cold fries because they know we'll have driven off by the time we find out!

    15. :) No skydiving, Katy? Where's your sense of adventure?!

      ReplyDelete
    16. Getting the bags in into the store takes a lot of practice, in my experience! The kids still have to remind me sometimes!
And I love doing hair, but my daughter won't let me anymore!

    17. My baby blanket was from the store, but the ones my kids have were made by family/friends. The one Frances sleeps with was actually made for me by my Grandmother, but apparently it's not the one I gravitated to as a child.

    18. I *think* I would go. I've never had the opportunity presented to me. But I love roller coasters and the like, so I think I'd be okay with jumping out of a plane.

    19. I *love* bubble painting! We used to do it in my preschool all the time!!

      ReplyDelete
    20. I've never dared to cut anything besides my own bangs. I tried to get Ken to trim my ends once, but he refused! I cut his all the time!! Bzzzzzzzzzz!

      ReplyDelete
    21. Sometimes my kids have to remind me to bring in my nags, but it's mostly habit now.

      ReplyDelete
    22. I'm feeling a bit of blogger burnout myself lately. I'm way behind on comments right now too!!

      ReplyDelete
    23. I have a bunch of "random question" sites bookmarked. They're always good for a boost when I'm feeling less than wordy!

      ReplyDelete
    24. I feel like I have to have bangs because I have a very high forehead. I want them thinner than what I have now though.
