I am a 30-something mom of three. I work in a great office at a great university and I get to look at books all day long! I love to read, blog, and spend time with my family.

Pizza did me in last night, I shouldn't of a had any at all. :(
ReplyDeletePizza was a success this time around because we managed to find the pepperonis!! :)
DeleteWhat are you going to sew? I need to learn how - want to laugh with me? Here's what I did. Captain Pampers (Benji) is 2 yrs 8 months. Wears a 3T becuase he needs the length but cuold easily fit into a size 18 months because he's so dern skinny (I WISH I had that problem). SO I go to buy some elastic to sew a couple of pieces to the inside of the waistband to just help it bunch up JUST a little bit (you can't manipulate the elastic INSIDE the waistband b/c of the way the pants are made -- it's sewn through). The top stitch is FANTASTIC... the bottom looks like a BIRD'S NEST... no idea what was going on with the bobbin but it's ALL Kinds of screwed up -- and you know what? I sent him to school in it anyway! Ha!
ReplyDeleteWhy? Because he needed warm fleece pants and I didn't have time to figure out what I'd done wrong. :)
April, I am not great at sewing, but I have fun with it. I am making initial shirts for my kids this year. I've made them number shirts for their birthdays before. You can see here: http://theliebers.blogspot.com/2012/10/shes-turning-9-and-feeling-fine.html
DeleteAs for your birds' nest, I think that is doe to the tension set on your machine. Fiddle around with that and see if it helps.
PS your Benjamin and mine sound like they are the same age. April 2010?
I love BOGOF too...especially when I have coupons.
ReplyDeleteHomemade pizza with the family is great, wonderful memories.
I've been cheating lately and using biscuit dough, but it's still good pizza! Thanks for stopping by1
DeleteHi, homemade pizza sounds good. We use to make it ourselves, but now I can't handle it. The sewing gene passed me by. My grandmother used to make us girls beautiful night gowns and my sister can make anything. Me? I can't even darn socks well.:) Have a great weekend with your family.
ReplyDeleteyes- thank goodness for friday! your homemade pizza is sounding so yummy! we have not had that in a while....may have to whip one up!
ReplyDeleteI only wish I could sew, oh there are so many things I wanna make ;-)
