Priginally, I thought I'd just go to my Pinterest board of "Words to Live By" and copy straight from there, but it seems I haven't been as busy pinning there as I thought I had! After this linkup, I hope to have many more added and I hope you will share your favorite quotes with the rest of us.
These are my favorite quotes of all. The ones that get me through the tough days. The ones I say to my kids or friends on a regular basis:
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, "What? You too? I thought I was the only one." --C.S.Lewis
"This is the day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!" --Psalm 118:24
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." --Gandhi
“Everything will be all right in the end. If it’s not all right, it is not yet the end” --Patel, Hotel Manager, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
"A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark." --Chinese Proverb
And with that reminder, I shall end! What's your favorite quote? What saying gets you through the day? Link up below or tell me in the comments!

Aww, great picks and as I told Lisa, my favorite is one that my grandmother used to say often enough when we were growing up and still makes me feel close to her if I do hear it. I love how quotes can and have a way of doing that - making you feel close to someone that is no longer here with us.
ReplyDeleteThese are great quotes. I have a quotes board too that I need to dust off and pin some new ones. Thanks for the idea. That last one made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteExcellent quotes, Rabia! I love all that you listed, but I was especially happy to see that you included the one from Patel in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Absolutely loved that movie, but had forgotten that great gem of a quote. Thank you for including it ... and for making quotes a TT topic. :)
ReplyDeleteAh... these are just wonderful Rabia!!! I love love love them!!!
ReplyDeleteI had the same idea to run to my pinterest board, but I too was slightly disappointed in the slim pickings. This link up is a great excuse to beef it up! I really love that first quote by Mark Twain, so that shall be my first pin on my trip around the link up!
ReplyDeleteI didn't include my grandmother's quote: If you don't have wrinkles, you haven't laughed enough.
ReplyDeleteYou always have to take things on the internet with a grain of salt!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the movie, but I've seen that quote a lot and I really like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris! Thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteI need to do more pinning in general!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I we still manages to have one in common!!! :-) The graphic reminds me of this song that I have always loved - have you ever heard it?
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I've now discovered a few new quotes that inspire me. Particularly the C.S. Lewis one.
ReplyDeleteOh I love them ALL again.... I just read The Golden Spoons....... That said this....
ReplyDelete“Everything will be all right in the end. If it’s not all right, it is not yet the end” --Patel, Hotel Manager, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
I LOVE!!!!! I also love the MOVIE!!!! First movie I ever went to by myself.....
Such great quotes.. I love the one about not comparing your insides to someone else's outsides..
ReplyDeleteAnd really, all of them!!
I love all of them! I have a quotes board on Pinterest and for a while it was one of my most populated boards... I think my food board outgrew it now. One of my favorite quotes is the one I used recently in one of my posts: She turned her can'ts into cans and her dreams into plans.
ReplyDeleteGreat song! So much of life is your perspective of it. Doing right because it's right is always better than doing right because you get something out of it!
ReplyDeleteThat one always makes me feel less alone in the world!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the movie, but I love the quote. I'll have to look in to watching it now.
ReplyDeleteThat one is hard to remember when everyone is constantly posting their Pinterest-worthy selves all over social media.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I pin a lot of recipes, but I want to fill up that quote board some more now!
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to go rent this movie, it is soul warming.
ReplyDeleteMy university has it, so I'm, going to check it out and see if I can watch it this weekend.
ReplyDeleteTHat is awesome, please let me know here or on my Facebook page BritishMumUSA what you think of it. It is one of my favorite Indie Films.......
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic quotes! The Gandhi quote is one of my all time favorites. Be the Change...
ReplyDeleteMy kids go to a Gandhi camp here every summer and learn about peacemaking skills. I love hearing his words coming from their mouths!
