If I had a MIllion Dollars

I had a very nice three day weekend. I was mostly unplugged for it. Friday was my Spring Break and my mom came up to go shopping with me for my birthday. It was also the day I was supposed to participate in a Secret Subject Swap and I totally forgot!! Sorry guys! My brain has been on overload lately.

Nevertheless, better late than never, right? So here we go!

My “Secret Subject” is: You have one hour to spend a million dollars. What do you spend it on? It was submitted by: http://www.southernbellecharm.com.

This might be tough. I've certainly spent lots of fictional money in the past, but I don't think I've had such a strict time limit. There are some things that just take time to figure out! All is not lost, though. I would never turn down a million dollars! I'll just make some hasty decision!

First, I'd buy a house. Most things in the neighborhoods we want are out of our price range, but with this money and time limit, I'm sure I could find something suitable and just buy it outright. Heck! It might not even be currently for sale!! I'm guessing that would take about half the money.

Next I'd buy Ken a truck. He loves his Jeep, but he still misses having a truck. I'd have to pick out something quick though, so I hope I can properly remember all the prerequisites! While I'm at it, I'd stick a nice canoe in the back. Or is it a kayak? What the heck, I'll get one of each! There goes another $100,000!

Our new house is going to need a lot of new furniture. I'll bet I could spend at least another $100,000 on couches, bedrooms, a new TV or two, and other furnishings. Do they sell self-cleaning kitchens??

I've got $300,000 left! Can I put it in the bank? If it has to be spent, I'll buy three college educations for the kids. If I prepay now, it'll save money in the long run and I won't have to worry so much about paying for their schooling.

That's it! I spent it all in less than an hour! I don't think I'll regret any of these hasty decisions. What would you buy?!

Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 8 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
