For Easter I went dress shopping and came home with 3 new dresses. Isn't that how it always happens!! One I bought for Easter, one was a winter-type sweater dress that was on clearance, and the third was just because I felt like it! I wore the Easter dress for Easter and the sweater dress when the weather was cooler (you know, last week?), but I hadn't worn the third one yet.

Since the weather is finally warm enough, I chose to wear the last of the new dresses to work yesterday. I don't have a picture of me in the dress, but this is it, if you are wondering:

While I was in the bathroom putting on my makeup, Henry asked me to help him with his shirt. I did a bit of a double take when I saw him because of the outfit he had chosen. He was wearing plaid madras shorts and a blue and red plaid cowboy shirt.

I said, "Ummm...Henry, usually when people go for a pattern in one place they opt for solids elsewhere."
He replied, "Huh?"
Then I said, "That's not an outfit I would have chosen, but if it makes you happy; then you go for it, Bubba!"
He grinned widely and ran off. He met up with Frances in the hallway and she gasped and said..."Henry!! You look so handsome!"
As we all got our stuff together and started to head for the door, Francs looked at me and said, "Mommy, you look beautiful today."
And I wasn't quite sure if that was a compliment...
