Four? Four!!

My dear, sweet Henry turns four today. WOW! I almost don't know what to say, but there are a few thoughts I wanted to put down in honor of the special occasion.  Henry, you have such a personality. I have enjoyed spending Tuesdays with you this year and getting to know you better. You are very different from your sister, but in some ways you are very like her.  You are loud, and wild and crazy. You love to play with cars. You sleep with a bed so full of stuffed animals that I'm not sure how you even fit! You get mad at me if I don't say "I love you" enough times at bedtime.  You are a great little brother and a great big brother.  You annoy your sister, like it's your job; which technically it is.  But you are always thinking about your siblings. You love your "Sissy" and "Benshamin Awan."  You are working hard to learn new things every day and I laugh to think about how stressed I was about you learning to talk when just this week you told me you were going to "devour" me and how nothing is ever big to you, it has to be "gigantic."I have learned more than I ever thought possible about construction vehicles because when you ask what something is, "tractor" just won't cut it.  You love to be read to and would snuggle on the couch all day to listen to stories if you could.  Sometimes it is frustrating, but I know I will look back and laugh at the way you think that by insisting that something is the way you want it, that it will actually become the way you want it.  If you say your plate is empty so you can have dessert, you will insist that it is empty even when I am looking straight at it.You are small for your age, but you make up for it in might. You are a tough guy, as is evidenced by the scratches and bruises you are constantly sporting.  You run hard, play hard, and crash hard at the end of the day.Little boy, you are growing up so fast! I am so blessed to be your mother and to watch all your milestones. And just in case I didn't say it enough before you fell asleep tonight, I love you!
