Frances enjoys talking about calendar and the days of the week. There are lots of things going on, and she likes planning out what is coming next and keeping track of how many days until something new happens. Yesterday as we were leaving her dentist's office, she wanted to recount this week and all the "fun things" going on.
FJ: Mommy, let's count all the fun things this week.
Me: OK
FJ: On Monday, I had ballet.
Me: mmm-hmmm
FJ: On Tuesday...ummm....Mommy what fun happened on Tuesday?
Me: Tuesday is the day I got to put you on the bus [usually this is Daddy's job].
FJ: NO! Mommy! I am counting exciting things!
Me: You mean that me putting you on the bus isn't exciting??
FJ: No.
Me: OK, then I guess that Tuesday was the boring day when nothing exciting happened.
FJ: OK, well Wednesday...that's today, right Mommy?
Me: Yes, Frances, today is Wednesday.
FJ: OK, today the dentist was fun.
Me: Wait a minute...you think that going to the dentist is fun, but Mommy putting you on the bus is not?
FJ: Yes...and tomorrow is Thursday. That's the Pumpkin Patch. And then Friday, we go to GRANDMA'S!!
Me: Sounds like an exciting week.

Overheard in the backseat
On the way home today:
Frances: Mommy? Do remember when Henry and me used to both fart at the same time and make the room all stinky? Mommy? Do you? Do you remember that??

Frances-isms
We went out to Golden Corral last night with Stacey and her crew. Ryan's school has a fundraiser night there about once a month. As we were paying the teenage boy for our food, Frances loudly whispers, "Momma, that boy is so handsome!" Um...ok, but be a little bit more discreet Frances!! Frances and Ryan ended up sitting next to each other and as Stacey went to get food for the girls, Frances announced that "Ryan is my boyfriend!" Well she has said this before and when I ask her, she says he is her friend and he's a boy...Very logical to me!
So later, Stacey and I are talking and Frances keeps trying to interrupt. I was ignoring her well enough that finally she turned to Ryan and said, "Ryan, do you want to have a kid conversation?" HA HA Poor girl. As I continue to talk, I notice that Ryan has not actually answered Frances-despite the fact that she keeps asking him and calling his name. So now they have moved on in their relationship. I mean, they must be married now if he is ignoring her so completely while she yaks at him. Then they shared an apple at dinner. How cute!
To be comepltely honest, I took a few pictures at dinner, but I am too lazy to get up and post them now. Maybe I will come back later and update.

Upon seeing a two door car: "Mommy that car only has one door!!"
Me: "mmm-hmm"
FJ: "That's so lazy!!"
Mumbled several more times on the way home: "That car was SO lazy!"
Seriously-who knew that two-door cars were so funny!!
FJ: "Mommy? Do you kow what our phone number will be when I get married to Henry and we live next door to Carlee with our three kids?"
ME: "Um...no, sweetheart. What will it be?"
FJ: "6739"
Me: "Oh. OK."
I never knew she had it planned out so completely!
