August Cara Box Reveal

Last month as I was hopping around visiting random blogs, I came upon one that mentioned something called a CaraBox.  I truly apologize for not being able to link you to that blog, but I was so far down the rabbit hole at that point, it's a wonder I made it out!!  I did follow a link on that post to Kaitlyn's blog Wifessionals.  There, Kaitlyn explained the who premise behind a Cara Box and mentioned that a new exchange was coming up.

As you may have read before, my love language is "gifts," so this exchange was right up my alley!  Basically you sign up and are paired up with two people.  One person will be giving to you and one person will be receiving from you.  You spend some time getting to know your partner, reading their blog, stalking the Twitter feed, etc.  Then, by the given deadline you send her a care package that goes along with the theme for the swap.  The theme for this swap was "seasons of life" and Kaitlyn paired people up by where they were in their life journey.  I was in the "30-something wife and mother category" because I just happen to be a 30-something wife and mother!

My partners were Liz and Erin.  I spent some time getting to know both ladies and then by mid-August, I sent Liz a care package.  I actually got a message from Erin that my package was on the way the day before I mailed out Liz's stuff.  And I only had to wait a little longer before my package showed up. When it did, I seriously felt like it was Christmas!  The kids were napping (and I was soooooo thankful) and I opened my package right away and snapped a few pictures.

The box Erin sent was so fun and so thoughtful.  In the brief time that we had to get to know each other, she really did a great job.  I guess it doesn't hurt that I'm a pretty open book and talk all the time!!

Erin sent me some yummy snacks that promptly went into my bag for work.  They are hidden in my desk drawer now, so I can grab a quick nibble every once in a while.  She also sent me a fun book about motherhood, a Scentsy tin for my office, and a beautifully handmade card with a sweet note inside.  She sent stickers for my boys and nail polish for me to share with Frances, which I thought was extra thoughtful.

I was so excited I ripped open the package before I thought to start taking pictures!

My goodies

My handmade card

These went straight to work so I wouldn't have to share!

My office smells amazing now!

So true...

I had such a fun time participating in this swap and getting to know both ladies.  I hope we can keep in touch and I can't wait to sign up again for the next one!

If you want to see other CaraBox reveals, check them out at this link up.  Signups for the next exchange are September 3rd.

    1. You should totally sign up so someone can send you Twizzlers! And don’t let Ashley get them, either!!

  2. You're actually the second person I've read about that participates in a Cara Box exchange, and it seems like so much fun. It's definitely something I want to check out in the future!

    1. You should definitely check it out, Kristen. It was so much fun. And she is going to a new process next month where you have more time to get to know people and get your box together.
