How swiftly you've defeated me!
Oh Laun-der-ee, Oh Laun-der-ee;
How swiftly you've defeated me!
My bathroom floor is piled so high.
The basement also makes me cry.
Oh Laun-der-ee, Oh Laun-der-ee;
How swiftly you've defeated me!
Oh Laun-der-ee, Oh Laun-der-ee;
Can't someone else take care of you!
Oh Laun-der-ee, Oh Laun-der-ee;
Can't someone else take care of you!
I beg, I plead for help from kids.
They act as though I've flipped my lid.
Oh Laun-der-ee, Oh Laun-der-ee;
Can't someone else take care of you!
Each dirty sock, and smelly shirt.
The pants are always caked in dirt.
Oh Laun-der-ee, Oh Laun-der-ee;
How swiftly you've defeated me!
I am linking up with Mama Kat's blogging prompts today. The assignment was to write a poem to convince someone to do a chore for you, but we all know I'm not very good at following directions. We all also know that if I spent half as much time actually doing the laundry as I do penning silly songs about it, I wouldn't be drowning under such a large pile!!
I'm drowning in laundry over here, too! I can totally relate!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you go Rabia! Sing the song of our people!
