#AskAwayFriday: Anniversary Style!

You asked, I've answered!!  On Wednesday, I opened up my comment section to you, my lovely readers to ask any question you wanted. I promised to answer them in a post on Friday, so here it is!

You asked, I've answered!

Tamara asked me to name something I am a "natural" at doing.  Daggone! That's a tough one to start with!!  I think I am a natural "schmoozer."  I don't mean that in a bad way.  I'm not fake about it. I have been told that I am very easy to talk to.  I can carry on a conversation with just about anyone on a wide variety of things under the sun.  I like to talk (no?! for real!?!?!) and I like to listen.  I seem to be very good at drawing other people into conversation.

Janine @ Confessions of a Mommyholic wants to know about the weirdest search that brought someone to my blog.  That's a bit easier.  I used to be really confused as to why so many people came to my blog in search of groundhogs.  I finally figured out it was because of the picture I stole from the internet to use for this post.  Someone recenty came to my blog looking for "brown bug that carries its eggs on it..." Unfortunately, Google is changing how they report this kind of data, so I might not always get to find out how people arrived here.

Amber the Whispering Writer wants to know what's for dinner! Haha! Like I know!!  Actually Fridays are usually pizza night at our house. I like making the dough and beating the crap out of it after a long week at work. Henry wants mushrooms, Benjamin wants pepperoni, and Frances wants both.  That always seems like too much math for me, but I manage to make it work.  And if somebody's pizza gets cross-contaminated, it's cute to watch Henry pick off his pepperoni and feed them to Ben or Ben pick off the mushrooms to feed them to Henry.  Other dinner hits at our house include fritatta, breakfast for dinner, quesadillas and leftovers.  My kids LOVE leftover night!!

Lisa @ The Golden Spoons asked me another tough question: "If you could go back in time, what is one thing in your life you would do differently and why?"  I am a firm believer in the butterfly effect-that one tiny little movement can have waves and waves of repercussions. I don't necessarily have regrets, but I am slightly fascinated by how one tiny little change could have made a huge difference in my life.  The idea of alternate realities going off in infinite directions!! WOW! Ta avoid a very long, very nerdy tangent, I will say that I wish I had gotten a different, possibly on campus job as a student.  At the time I thought that it would be too much to juggle with classwork and a job, but seeing the way the students that work for me have made it happen, I think I would have learned some better time management techniques when I was younger.

Kim @ Co-Pilot Mom asks, "Where is one place in the world you would like to go?"  The funny thing is I like the idea of travel much more than I like the actual realities of traveling.  I hate packing and unpacking and driving and sleeping in strange beds and being out of routine.  With all that said, I like the idea of going to Australia. The wildlife, the culture, scuba diving, walking around upside down!  It just sounds like so much fun!!

Ilene, the Fierce Diva herself wants to give me $5,000 to spend entirely on myself.  Ilene, you are too kind!! LOL!  If I had to spend all that money on just myself and not the house or the family, I think I would buy a lot of new clothes.  Actually, my peace and sanity would be greatly improved if I could spend that money on someone to come and organize my house.  I don't think that's breaking the rules.

Gracielle of Mommy A to Z wants to know what I'm getting Ken for Christmas (so she can steal my ideas!!).  That's a good question!! He needs a new side-burner for his grill, but I haven't had a chance to go look for one.  I'll probably also get him some new grill tools or accessories.  He loves grilling!  I also thought about getting him something Dr. Who related.  Henry bought him a Lego set because "Daddy loves Legos."  Frances got him some car seat covers because the seats in his truck are looking pretty old.  I cannot, for the life of me, remember what Benjamin picked out.  I desperately need to go sort out everything in my closet!!

That was fun! Thanks for playing along, gals!
